Iranian opposition

The flag of Iran used before 1980 (when the current government overthrew the Shah) is often used by the Iranian opposition.

This flag was used to oppose the Imperial State of Iran and the Shah during the Iranian Revolution and is still used by some opposition groups to who don’t like the Shah or the Islamist government.

The Iranian opposition are the people that oppose the Islamic fundamentalist and authoritarian rulers of the Islamic Republic of Iran. These groups include people with many different ideas, including people who support a republic, people who want to bring back the Shah (King) or Iran, socialists, people who want independence from Iran, supporters of democracy, and Islamic Fundamentalists and extremists who dont support the rulers of Iran.^[1]^[2]
