Insurgent is a 2012 dystopian novel by Veronica Roth. The book is a sequel to the novel Divergent and is followed by the final book in the trilogy, Allegiant.^[1] It was number four on the New York Times Best Seller List for Young Adult fiction.^[2] Insurgent is set after Divergent, and continues the story of Beatrice Prior.
