Dame Imelda Mary Philomena Bernadette Staunton, DBE (born 9 January 1956)[1] is an English Actress. She is mainly famous for portraying Dolores Umbridge in the Harry Potter movie series and Queen Elizabeth II in the final two seasons of The Crown.

She is also known for her roles in: Much Ado about Nothing, Maleficent and Peter's Friends.

Personal life

Staunton was born in Archway, London. She studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She has been married to Jim Carter since 1983. The couple have a daughter.
