Ida Yakovlevna Nudel (Hebrew: אידה נודל; Russian: Ида Яковлевна Нудель) (April 27, 1931 – September 14, 2021) was a refusenik and an Israeli activist. She was known as the "Guardian Angel". She tried to help Jewish political prisoners escape from the Soviet Union. In 1987, she left the Soviet Union and moved to Israel.[1]
She wrote an autobiography: "A Hand in the Darkness". The movie Mosca Addio (Farewell Moscow) was made about her escape from the Soviet Union.
Nudel died on 14 September 2021 at the age of 90.[2]
