Hurricane Beryl was a category 5 Atlantic hurricane. It crossed the southern Windward Islands and affected Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and Texas in late June and early July 2024.

When the storm formed near the end of June 2024, it became the strongest June hurricane on record. That beat Hurricane Audrey from 1957, the previous record holder.

The highest speed of the hurricane's winds was 165 miles per hour (266 kilometers per hour). Several people were killed by the storm. It also caused several billion United States dollars in damage.
