Alida Helena "Hummie" van der Tonnekreek (16 April 1945 – 19 January 2022) was a Dutch journalist and editor.[1][2][3]

Van der Tonnekreek started working as an editor at Margriet, but later she made career as a reporter at the gossip magazine Story [nl]. She then worked for a short time at Privé [nl] and finally was editor-in-chief at Weekend (magazine) [nl] and AvantGarde, where she left after a conflict in 1998.[1][2] Van der Tonnekreek became known to the public when she became editor-in-chief of the television series Big Brother in 1999. She was the all editions editor-in-chief untill Big Brother 6 in 2006. She was also editor-in-chief of the reality series Masterplan [nl], Jouw vrouw, mijn vrouw [nl] and Hotel Big Brother. In 2011, she was involved as a consultant on the Big Brother spin-off Secret Story.

Van der Tonnekreek had lung cancer She died in Hillegom on 19 January 2022, at the age of 76.[2][3][4]
