Johnson's horned tree frog, Sumaco horned tree frog, or rana de casco narizona (Hemiphractus johnsoni) is a frog. It lives in Colombia.[2][3][1]
Home
People see this frog on low plants and on dead leaves on the ground in cloud forest. It only lives in forests that were never cut down. Scientists do not think this frog is good at living in places that people have changed. Scientists have seen the frog between 1,350 and 2,000 m (4,430 and 6,560 ft) above sea level.[1]
Scientists have seen the frog in a protected place: Parque Natural Selva de Florencia.[1]
Food
This frog eats other frogs.[1]
Young
The female frog carries her eggs on her back. The eggs hatch into small froglets, not swimming tadpoles.[1]
Danger
Scientists from the IUCN say the frogs are in danger of dying out. People change the places where the frogs live by cutting down forests to make farms and places for animals to eat grass.[1]
