Healthcare in Afghanistan has improved since the end of the wars in 2006, but is still very limited. In 2018 there were 3,135 clinics and hospitals. About 87% of the people lived within two hours travel. [1] However, many people, especially children, die from illnesses which would be cured in other countries. Some hospitals do not have any ventilators. Things have got worse because money from other countries mostly stopped in 2021.[2]
