Haro Asō (Japanese: 麻生羽呂, Hepburn: Asō Haro) is a Japanese comic book artist, also known as a manga artist. He was born in Osaka, Japan.[1] He started his career in 2005.[1] His major works include, Hyde & Closer (2007–2009),[2] Alice in Borderland (2010–2016).[3]

After finishing Alice in Borderland (which had 1.3 million copies in print[4]), Aso planned to stop drawing and instead focus only on writing stories.[5] He later started writing the story for Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead (2018–present), which is drawn by Kotaro Takata.[6] The popularity of the live-action TV show adaptation of Alice in Borderland made him come out of retirement to draw a spin-off of that series.
