The Gulfport-Biloxi-Pascagoula Combined Statistical Area was made up of five counties in the Mississippi Gulf Coast region. It is not listed as a combined statistical area today.
The statistical area consisted of the Gulfport-Biloxi Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Pascagoula Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 2000, the CSA had a population of 396,754. The area was significantly impacted by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. A July 1, 2006 estimate placed the population at 380,309.[1] Prior to the hurricane, the area had experienced steady to moderate population growth.
