Gugulethu "Gugu" Sophia Mbatha-Raw MBE (/ˈɡuːɡuː əmˈbætərɔː/;^[1][2] born 21 April 1983) is an English actress. She was born in Oxford, Oxfordshire.

She starred as Tish Jones in the science-fiction series Doctor Who (2007). Her leading performance as the main character in Jessica Swale's 2015 play Nell Gwynn. She also appeared in Beauty and the Beast (2017), A Wrinkle in Time (2018), and Misbehaviour (2020).

She also starred as Hannah Shoenfeld on Apple TV+ drama series The Morning Show (2019) and as Ravonna Renslayer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe / Disney+ television series Loki (2021-2023).
