Gil Schwartz (May 20, 1951 – May 2, 2020), known by his pen name Stanley Bing,[1] was an American business humorist and novelist. He wrote a column for Fortune magazine for more than twenty years.[2] He also worked forEsquire magazine.[3] He was the author of thirteen books, including What Would Machiavelli Do?[4] and The Curriculum'.[5]
Schwartz was senior executive vice president of corporate communications and Chief Communications Officer for CBS.[6]
Bing was born in New York City. He was raised in New Rochelle, New York. Bing studied at Brandeis University. Schwartz died on May 2, 2020 at his home in Santa Monica, California from a heart attack.[7] He was 68.[8]
