Fürth (German: [fʏʁt] (ⓘ); East Franconian: Färdd [fɛ:ɐ̯tt]; Yiddish: פיורדא, romanized: Fiurda) is a city in the German state Bavaria, next to Nuremberg (Nürnberg). It has about 118,000 inhabitants. The first German railway connection was between Nürnberg and Fürth.
