The route was renamed Sir Syed Ahmed route in 1967.[2]However, the route is still commonly referred to as Fuller route. The route ends at Shadhinota Sangram Monument Square, where it runs into Shahid Minar route, after beginning at VC Square, where it intersects with Nilkhet Road.[3]

The Landmarks includes Vice Chancellor House of University of Dhaka, British Council Bangladesh, Udayan Higher Secondary School and Sir Salimullah Muslim Hall.
