Edward Sanders (born August 17, 1939) is an American poet, singer, social activist, environmentalist, author, publisher and longtime member of the band the Fugs. He is a well known figure in the Beat and hippie generations.[1] Sanders was very active in the beginning of the counterculture's creation.[2]
