DeWarmte B.V. is a Dutch company that makes and installs heat pump systems for homes. The company is based in The Hague, Netherlands.[1] DeWarmte creates technologies for hybrid and all-electric heating.[2]

History

DeWarmte was founded in 2018 in Delft by Sander Wapperom and Auke de Vries, who studied mechanical engineering at the Delft University of Technology.[3][4]

The company's first product was the HeatCycle (2019), which recovered heat from wastewater. This product was discontinued in 2024 as the company focused on heat pumps.[5] In 2023, DeWarmte moved its headquarters to The Hague and its logistics center to Utrecht.[6]

DeWarmte has received several awards for its work. These include the Rabobank Innovatiefonds award (2019), the ASN Wereldprijs (2020), and an iF Design Award (2024).[7][8] It was also ranked in the KVK Innovation Top 100 in 2024 and 2025.[1]

Products and Operations

DeWarmte designs and installs its own heating systems. As of 2025, the company has about 60 employees.[9] Its main product is the Pomp AO, a hybrid heat pump launched in 2021. This system works together with a gas boiler to reduce gas usage.[10]

In 2024, the company released the Pomp T. This is an all-electric heat pump boiler designed to replace gas heating entirely.[11] Later, in November 2025, DeWarmte introduced the Pomp MP. This is a more powerful hybrid system made for larger houses.[12]
