David Gold (9 September 1936 – 4 January 2023) was a British businessman. From 2010 to his death in 2023, he was joint chairman of Premier League club West Ham United with David Sullivan.[1] He also served as chairman of Birmingham City Football Club until 2009. Gold owned Gold Group International (GGI), the parent company of the retailer Ann Summers and lingerie chain Knickerbox.
Gold was born in Stepney, East London. He was Jewish. He had two daughters, Jacqueline and Vanessa.
Gold died on 4 January 2023, at the age of 86.[2]
