Colchian Dragon

In Greek mythology, the Colchian Dragon was a giant serpent that guarded the Golden Fleece in the land of Colchis. It never slept and was watchful. It was said to have a crest and three tongues[1] and was longer than a 50-oared ship.
The dragon was defeated by the sorceress Medea. She cast a spell that made the serpent fall asleep, allowing Jason to get the Golden Fleece.[2]
