Cedarosaurus is a genus of sauropod dinosaur from the Lower Cretaceous epoch .[ 1] It was a herbivore of unknown size.[ 2] Cedarosaurus was named for the Cedar Mountain Formation in eastern Utah , USA .[ 2] It was a brachiosaurid sauropod that ate tall vegetation from the tree canopy .[ 2] The skeleton was found in the Cedar Mountains the late 1990s by a team of paleontologists from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science .[ 3] The skeleton was missing the neck , head and other parts.[ 4]
