The Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) was an ice hockey league in Canada that was formed in 2007. Female players from around the world played in this league and in the Western Women's Hockey League. The CWHL replaced the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) in 2007. Many teams (Toronto, Brampton and Montreal) from the NWHL moved to the CWHL.
