"California Love" is a hip hop song by American rapper 2Pac. The song also features vocals from Dr. Dre. The song was Shakur's first single as an artist for Death Row Records and was also his comeback single after he was released from prison in 1995. A popular remixed version of the song was featured on the UK version of All Eyez on Me. California Love was nominated for a posthumous Grammy Award as a Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group (with Dre and Troutman) in 1997.[1]
The song was ranked #355 of the Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time[2] and was ranked #51 on VH1's countdown of the 100 Greatest songs of the 90s.[3]
