Calcium nitride is a chemical compound. Its chemical formula is Ca₃N₂. It contains calcium and nitride ions.

It is a red-brown solid. It reacts with water to make calcium hydroxide and ammonia. It reacts with hydrogen to make calcium hydride and calcium amide.

It is made by burning calcium in nitrogen. It is also made when calcium burns in air.

It can be used as a source of the reactive nitride ion.
