Blossom Academy was founded in 2018 and is the first Data science academy established in West Africa. The academy trains and pairs data science talents with tech businesses and organizations operating in Africa.[1]

History
Blossom Academy is Ghana's first data science academy and was founded by Jeph Acheampong. [1][5]The academy has address the demand for data talents in Africa. [6][7][8][9]
Blossom Academy works with startup companies to design a curriculum that reflects their data-related challenges. [2]The academy has also partnered with educational institutions such as DataCamp, DataLab.cc, and Data Science Institute to repurpose their world-class resources for their training programs.[6][10][11]
Blossom Academy capacity building initiatives have narrowed the digital skills gap in Africa. The academy has been supported with funding from Livelihood Impact Fund and African Visionary Fund, to expand across West Africa region.[12][13][14]
Awards and recongnition
In 2018, the academy won the Global Innovator Award through Expo 2020 Dubai and won the Ghana EduTech of the Year in 2021.[15][3]
