William Howard White (born June 16, 1954) is an American lawyer, businessman and politician. He was the 60th mayor of Houston from 2004 to 2010. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
White was the Democratic nominee for Governor of Texas in the 2010 election, however he lost to Republican Governor Rick Perry. He was the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1995.[1]
