William Duncan Schuette ( SHOO-tee;[1] born October 13, 1953) is an American politician and lawyer. He was the 53rd Attorney General of Michigan.[2] He was the Republican nominee for Governor of Michigan in the 2018 gubernatorial election losing to Gretchen Whitmer.[3]
