Scrivens was undrafted but signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2010. On January 29, 2014, Scrivens stopped all 59 shots that the Oilers defence allowed and set a new NHL record for most saves in a shutout. He is also referred to as ScrVezina.[1]
He would retire from playing professional ice hockey in 2018. After retiring, Scriven would accept a job to become a manager for the University of Denver's men's ice hockey team.[2]
