Benjamin Schiff “Ben” Platt (born September 24, 1993)[1] is an American actor and singer-songwriter. He is known for his main role in the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen (2015–2017). This role earned him a Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award.[2] At 23, Platt became the youngest individual winner of the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical.[3] Platt played the role of Evan Hansen in 2021 movie version of the musical.[4]

Platt is openly gay.[5]

Honeymind is Platts' upcoming third studio album. It will be released on May 31, 2024, via Interscope Records.

Platt announced the album on social media, inspired by a hike he took with his fianceé, Noah Galvin. The album was written over two years across Nashville, Savannah, Los Angeles, and New York.[6] Two singles preceded the album: "Andrew" on March 14, and "Cherry on Top" on April 11.

On March 18, 2024, Platt announced he would perform a three-week concert residency from May 28 to June 15 at the newly remodeled Palace Theatre on Broadway.[7]

On April 11, 2024, Platt announced his third concert tour to promote Honeymind.[8]
