Balas y Chocolate (English: Bullets and Chocolate) is the eighth studio album by Mexican latin singer Lila Downs.[3] Released on March 24, 2015.[4] It was going to be much darker than her earlier material, though it became an upbeat electronic-folk inspired album.[5] The album features collaborations from Juan Gabriel and Juanes.[6] It reached the top of the charts in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Spain and the United States. It also reached the top ten in other major markets.[7]
