Bacon cake is a cake made with bacon. It can be either salty or sweet. Bacon cake is usually baked in an oven, but sometimes it is cooked in a frying pan on a stove.[1]

Savory bacon cake

A savory bacon cake is similar to a potato cake. It can be made with potatoes or other root vegetables like parsnips.[2][3]

A cookbook from the year 1830 has a recipe that uses cooked bacon, flour, salt, and water.[4]

In Estonia, there is a bacon cake called pekikook. It is similar to a quiche and is made with eggs and a small amount of flour.[5][6]

Sweet bacon cake

A sweet bacon cake uses bacon for flavor or as a topping.[7][8] Bacon goes well with chocolate, and many recipes mix them together to make chocolate bacon cake.[9][10]

There is also a sweet treat called a bacon cupcake, which is like a small cake with bacon on top.[11][12]
