Arthur Hendrick Vandenberg (March 22, 1884 – April 18, 1951) was an American politician. Vandenberg was known for being part of the creation of the United Nations with Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Vandenberg was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan.^[1] He studied at the University of Michigan.

In 1906, Vandenberg was married to Elizabeth Watson. Watson died in 1917. They had three children. Vandenberg married Hazel Whittaker in 1918. Their marriage lasted until his death in 1951. They had no children.

He was the United States senator of Michigan. He served as senator from 1928 until his death in 1951. He was also the President pro tempore of the United States Senate from 1947 to 1949.

Vandenberg was a member of the Republican Party. He ran for President of the United States in 1948, but lost the primary to Thomas E. Dewey.

Vandenberg died in Grand Rapids, Michigan from cancer, aged 67.
