AppyPie is an Indian technology company that makes a no-code development platform. It lets users create mobile apps, websites, chatbots, and automated workflows without traditional programming.[1][2]

History

AppyPie was founded by Abhinav Girdhar on January 21, 2016, in Noida, India.[3]

In 2017, the company released a virtual reality and augmented reality (VR/AR) app builder for startups and small businesses.[4]

In 2018, AppyPie expanded its no-code tools, including website-building features.[5]

In 2023, AppyPie announced an AI App Generator.[6] It also announced AppyLM, an early (alpha) large language model project for code generation.[7]

In July 2024, AppyPie announced that it acquired Appsmakerstore.com.[8][9]

In 2025, Indian media reported that AppyPie launched new AI tools for image and video generation and a Hindi AI design model called PixelYatra.[10][11]

Products

AppyPie offers no-code tools such as:

  • an app builder for creating mobile apps[12]
  • a website builder[13]
  • automation tools for workflows (for example, connecting apps and services)[14]

Reviews and discussion

Tech websites have reviewed AppyPie’s tools. TechRadar said its AI features can be useful, but it also noted limits in customization and templates.[15]

Writers have also discussed no-code platforms in general. In a 2014 article, Los Angeles Times quoted a critical view that some app-building platforms could be expensive or not very elegant.[16]
