Androgyne is the combination of man and woman, or genders related to masculinity and femininity, associated with androgyny.[1][2][3] It is different from androgynous, as it is generally used as a gender identity, rather than being a gender expression or presentation.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10]

Terminology

The word is a mixture of ἀνδρ- (anér, andr-, andro-, man) and γυνή (gunē, gyné, gyne, woman).[11][12]
