Altamas Kabir
Altamas Kabir (19 July 1948 – 19 February 2017) was an Indian lawyer and judge. He served as the 39th Chief Justice to the Supreme Court of India from 29 September 2012 through 18 July 2013.[1] He was born and raised in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Kabir died of kidney disease in Kolkata on 19 February 2017, aged 68.
