Alfre Woodard (; born November 8, 1952) is an American actress who stars in both movies and television . She played Carolyn in the 1994 movie Crooklyn . Alfre was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma . Woodard is a Democrat and attended the 2012 Democratic National Convention in support of President Obama's re-election.[ 1]
