Alexandra Anna Daddario (born March 16, 1986) is an American actress and model. She is best known for playing the character Annabeth Chase in Percy Jackson & the Olympians and Blake in the movie San Andreas.[1] She has also played Heather Miller in the 2013 movie Texas Chainsaw 3D and Summer Quinn in Baywatch (2017).

Early life and education

Alexandra Anna Daddario was born in New York City on March 16, 1986,[2][3][4] to parents Christina, a lawyer, and Richard Daddario, a prosecutor and former head of the New York City Police Department counterterrorism unit.[5] She is of Italian, Irish, English, and Slovak descent.[6] She has a younger brother called Matthew Daddario,[7][8] and a younger sister called Catharine, who are both actors as well.[9] Her grandfather was Emilio Q. Daddario, he was a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Connecticut from 1959 to 1971.[10]

Daddario was raised on Manhattan's Upper East Side. She went to Brearley School and the Professional Children's School.[11] Daddario said she wanted to be an actress at the age of 11.[12] "I always loved storytelling," she stated in 2019. "It was just something I genuinely wanted to do – and I could've done anything, really. I did have every opportunity on the planet."[13] She went to Marymount Manhattan College but she left to do acting full-time.[14] She has spent years studying the Meisner acting technique.[15]

Personal life

Since about 2020, Daddario has been in a relationship with producer Andrew Form. On December 2, 2021, they announced their engagement.[16] They married in June 2022.[17] In July 2024, Daddario announced she was pregnant after previously suffering a miscarriage.[18] On October 31, 2024, Daddario announced the birth of her first child on Instagram.[19]
