Alexander Imich (February 4, 1903 – June 8, 2014)[1] PhD, was a Polish-born American chemist, parapsychologist, and supercentenarian. He was the president of the Anomalous Phenomena Research Center in New York City. He was born in Częstochowa, Poland (then a part of Russian Empire) in 1903.[1] He was of Jewish descent.[2]
At age 111, Imich was the world's oldest living man since the death of Arturo Licata on April 24, 2014.[3][4] He was one of the few supercentenarians known for reasons other than longevity.
He died on June 8, 2014 peacefully at 9:03 AM from natural causes at the age of 111.[5]
