Alexander Hislop (born on 1807, Duns, died on 13 March 1863 at Arbroath) was a pastor of the Free Church of Ecosse. He criticized the Roman Catholic Church. He was an editor of the journal The Guardian. His father was Stephen Hislop (died on 1837) a mason and an Elder of the Relief church[1]
