Aaron Gagnon (born April 24, 1986) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre. He played a total of 38 games in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets. He also played for HV71 in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), Lukko in the Liiga, SC Bern and SCL Tigers in the National League (NL), and Modo Hockey in the HockeyAllsvenskan.

Career

Before playing in the NHL, Gagnon played parts of six seasons with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and 22 games with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.

Royer was drafted 240th overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. On February 2, 2007, Gagnon signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Dallas Stars.[1] On October 16, 2009, Gagnon made his NHL debut in a 3–0 defeat against the Boston Bruins.[2] Gagnon would then split his time between Dallas and their AHL farm team Texas Stars.

On July 1, 2011, Gagnon signed a one-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets.[3] On April 9, 2013, Gagnon scored his first NHL goal in a 4–1 win against the Buffalo Sabres.[4]

On August 7, 2013, Gagnon left North America and decided to sign a two-year contract with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).[5] He would retire from playing professional ice hockey in 2020.
