2020 Nashville bombing
On December 25, 2020, a recreational vehicle (RV) exploded in downtown Nashville, Tennessee , United States , injuring three people and damaging many buildings.
Human remains were found at the site of the explosion.[ 3] [ 4] The explosion took place at 166 Second Avenue North between Church Street and Commerce Street at 6:30 am.[ 5]
Many people heard gunshots, and loudspeakers on the vehicle telling people to evacuate before the explosion happened.[ 3] [ 6] [ 7]
The explosion was felt many miles away from the crime site. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is leading the investigation.[ 8]
Authorities said the next day that the attack was likely a suicide bombing .[ 5] The FBI named a 63-year-old man as a person of interest in the investigation.[ 9] [ 10] The FBI searched his home in Nashville on December 26.[ 4] However it was later confirmed that the perpetrator of the bombing, Anthony Quinn Warner, was killed in the explosion.[ 1]
