Meteorological synopsis
A dip in the jetstream in Colorado and favorable thermodynamics for tornadoes in the EF2 to EF5 were present in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas causing the NWS to issue an enhanced risk.
Statistics
EF4 rating, on the ground for 25 miles. It was the strongest tornado of the outbreak and possible EF5. It travelled at 180 mph, 289kph, 264fps, 156knots, 80m/s.
