Torulen dioksigenaza
Torulen dioksigenaza (EC 1.13.11.59, CAO-2, CarT) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom torulen:kiseonik oksidoreduktaza.[1][2][3] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- torulen + O2 4'-apo-beta,psi-karoten-4'-al + 3-metilbut-2-enal
Pretpostavlja se da se 3-metilbut-2-enal formira. Enzim ne može razgrađuje zasićene 3',4'-veze gama-karotena.
