Sadie Thompson je američki crno-bijeli nijemi film snimljen u režiji Raoul Walsha i premijerno prikazan 1928. godine. Temelji se na noveli Rain britanskog književnika W. Saumerseta Maughama. Film je producirala tada popularna hollywoodska glumica Gloria Swanson, koja je također nastupila u naslovnoj ulozi. Protagonistica je bivša prostitutka iz San Francisca koja je našla novi dom na pacifičkom otoku Tutuila (u Američkoj Samoi), ali čije planove za novi život sa privlačnim marincem (koga glumi sam Walsh) poremeti fanatični kršćanski misionar čiji lik tumači Lionel Barrymore. Sadie Thompson je Swanson uspjela snimiti nakon dosta natezanja oko autorskih prava, ali i kontroverzi oko sadržaja koji je navodno vrijeđao tadašnji moral. Usprkos toga, film je postao veliki hit i zaradio preko milion dolara. Swanson je bila nominirana za Oscara za najbolju glumicu. Sadie Thompson danas postoji u okljaštrenom obliku, odnosno nedostaje završna rola filma te se smatra djelomično izgubljenim.

Maughamov predložak je tokom sljedećih par decenija adaptiran još nekoliko puta.
