OŠ 22. lipnja

Osnovna škola 22. lipnja Sisak je jedna od najboljih škola na području Sisačko-moslavačke županije. Tijekom sedamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća seli se iz starih zgrada u trećoj ulici (danas ulici dr.Ante Starčevića) u novu zgradu u Ulici Franje Lovrića 27.

Do 2006. je najveći problem škole bilo igralište na otvorenom, koje je izgrađeno uz pomoć grada Siska koji je donirao 1.400.000,00 KN i uz pomoć donacija JANAF-a. Time će škola postati najopremljenija u regiji. Ravnateljica škole je Azra Rađenović. U školi je nastava u potpunosti zastupljena stručnim kadrom koji primjenjuje osim klasičnih i nove metode rada te suvremenu digitalnu tehnologiju. Dakle, osim zanimljive arhitekture same zgrade i nastava je zanimljiva jer se ne izvodi na klasičan način.

Škola je prvotno dobila ime po datumu prvog organiziranog antifašističkog ustanka u šumi Brezovica kod Siska. Škola je preimenovana početkom Domovinskog rata iz "OŠ 22. lipnja 1941." u "OŠ 22. lipnja". Na taj datum osim pobune protiv fašističke okupacije, zbio se još jedan za grad veliki događaj, a to je bitka u kojoj su po treći put brojčano nadmoćne Turke odbili hrabri Sisčani i vojska Bana Erdodya koja im je pritekla u pomoć.

Školu pohađaju učenici od 1.do 8. razreda, kao i učenici sa poteškoćama u razvoju. Za učenike od 1. do 4. razreda organiziran je produženi boravak. Učenici pohađaju izvannastavne aktivnosti : kreativne radionice, literarno - recitatorska, dramska grupa, glazbena mladež, glazbene radionice, zbor, likovna skupina, origami, EKO skupina, planinari, keramičari, prijatelji knjige, nogomet, rukomet. Prema vlastitim interesima, učenici mogu izabrati koju predmet izborne nastave mogu pohađati, a ti predmeti su : vjeronauk(katolički i islamski), informatika, njemački jezik te češki i srpski jezik po modelu C.
