Natakamani

Natakamani je bio Kralj Kuša koji je vladao od oko 1. pne. ili ranije do oko 20. n.e..[1][2] Natakamani je najbolje atestirani vladar Meroitskog perioda. Bio je sin kraljice Amanishakheto.[3]

Natakamani je poznat po nekoliko hramova koje je dao sagraditi, kao i po vlastitoj piramidi u Meroeu. Također je poznat po obnovi hrama boga Amuna,[2] kao i po zavještanju hrama u Farasu. Na nekoliko spomenika se pojavljuje zajedno sa svojom su-vladaricom, kraljicom Amanitore. Njihov odnos nije jasan: mogla mu je biti supruga ili majka koja je služila kao regentica u djetinjstvu. Međutim, poznato je da su neko vrijeme uživali ista vladarska prava.[4] U hramu u Apademeku postoji reljef gdje je prikazan sa nasljednikom Arikhankharerom.[5]

Natakamaniju je prethodila kraljica Amanishakheto a slijedila ga kraljica Amanitore.
