Дэ́вид Э́ллардис (Аллардайс) Уэбб (ирл. David Allardice Webb[4], 1912, Дублин, Ирландия — 26 сентября 1994, Оксфорд, Великобритания) — заведующий кафедрой ботаники в Тринити-колледже (Trinity College) Дублина с 1949 по 1966 год. Он был сыном Джорджа и доктора Эллы Уэбб (Ella Webb). В Ирландии он учился у Генри Горацио Диксона, а также учился в Великобритании.

Научная деятельность

Дэвид Эллардис Уэбб специализировался на семенных растениях[4]. Он описал несколько десятков видов растений[5].

В дополнение к ботанике он редактировал историю Тринити-колледжа вместе с Р. Б. Макдауэллом и опубликовал книгу по истории искусства в Тринити-колледже. в 1982 году он получил медаль Бойля Королевского Дублинского общества. его ботанические специальности включали его работу в качестве ведущего систематика камнеломки.

Гибель

Дэвид Эллардис Уэбб погиб в автомобильной катастрофе по дороге в гербарий Университета Рединга. 8-е издание "Ирландской флоры" было переименовано Уэббом в "Ирландскую флору" в его честь.
