Результаты голосования

Первое правительство Вима Кока ("Пурпурная коалиция") сохранило своё большинство на выборах, несмотря на резкое падение голосов, поданных за партию Демократы 66 (с 24 до 14 мест). Однако Партия труда и Народная партия за свободу и демократию, добавившие в свой актив соответственно восемь и семь мест в парламенте, с лихвой компенсировали эту потерю. Значительный прогресс показали Зелёные левые, увеличившие своё парламентское представительство на шесть мест. Христианско-демократический призыв потерял пять мест, три партии пожилых людей не получили ни одного депутатского мандата.
