Нойз-поп (англ. Noise pop) — поджанр альтернативного и инди-рока, возникший в середине 1980-х годов в Великобритании и США[1]. Это определяется смесью диссонирующего шума или обратной связи с песенным мастерством, привычном в поп-музыке. Шугейзинг, ещё один основанный на нойз-роке жанр, возникший в 1980-х годах, основанный на нойз-попе.

История и характеристика

AllMusic охарактеризовал нойз-поп как «точку на полпути между жевательной резинкой и авангардом»; сочетание традиционного написания поп-песен с экспериментальными звуками белого шума, искаженными гитарами и дронами. Стиль «часто имеет туманное, наркотическое ощущение, когда мелодии дрейфуют сквозь завихряющиеся гитарные текстуры. Но он также может быть ярким и живым или угловатым и вызывающим»[1]. AllMusic цитирует Velvet Underground, как самые ранние корни жанра, с их экспериментами с обратной связью и искажением на их ранних альбомах[1].

Ранние американские альтернативные рок-группы, такие как Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo, Hüsker Dü и Dinosaur Jr., которые смешивали структуры поп-песен с экстремальным гитарным дисторшном и обратной связью, были предшественниками.
