Лурия

Лу́рия (варианты: Лурье, Лурий, Лурьев, Лурья, Люрей, Лори, Лория, Лури и ряд других) — средневековая еврейская фамилия.

Ашкеназская по происхождению, фамилия Лурия исторически была наиболее распространена среди литваков, в городах Дисна и Брест. Обыкновенно возводится к названию городов Лория в провинции Тревизо области Венеция (Италия) и Луар-сюр-Рон (Loire-sur-Rhône) в департаменте Рона (Франция)[1]. Первые упоминания еврейской семьи Лурия относятся к XIV столетию (Франция). Родоначальником восточноевропейской ветви этой семьи стал Йехиел Лурия, переселившийся в Литовское княжество из германских земель в 1470 году.[2]

В 2004 году вышел фундаментальный труд Нила Розенштейна[3], посвящённый исследованию истории происхождения рода Лурье (Лурия)[4].

  • Лурия, Йоханан (Йоханан бен Аарон Лурия, 1445—1511) — эльзасский талмудист, раввин Вормса.
  • Лурия, Роман Альбертович (1874—1944) — российский советский учёный-медик, терапевт и гастроэнтеролог.
  • Лурия, Рохл (1882—1929) — американская еврейская писательница, журналистка.
