Samos-F

Samos-F (Ferret) или Air Force Program 102 (Программа Военно-воздушных сил 102) — серия американских спутников радиоэлектронной разведки. Запуски осуществлялись ВВС США и управлением военно-космической разведки в 1960-х. В некоторых источниках упоминаются названия Agena Ferret и Heavy Ferret. Задачей аппаратов было наблюдение за работой радаров в диапазонах 59-630 МГц, 2,5-3,2 ГГц и 9-10 ГГц. Перехваченная информация о местоположении радаров записывалась на магнитную ленту и передавалась на наземные станции слежения по радиоканалу. Существовало несколько станций: в Нью Бостоне (Нью-Гемпшир), в Оттаме (Центральная, Айова) и в Форте Стивенс (Орегон). Существовали так же дополнительные станции на авиабазе Ванденберг и в Каене (Огайо)[1]. Около 16 тяжелых спутников было запущено с 1962 по 1971 год. Для запусков использовалась конверсионная ракета-носитель Тор с разгонным блоком Аджена. В период с 1963 по 1985 год было запущено 44 малых спутника, выводившихся в качестве вторичной нагрузки на борту других спутников[2]. По состоянию на 2013 год почти все, что касается этих спутников остается засекреченным.
