Турнов (чеш. Turnov, нем. Turnau) — город на севере Чехии, расположенный на реке Йизера, в южной части Либерецкого края.

Общая информация

Город находится в центре национального заповедника Чешский рай, по сути, является его столицей, обеспечивая таким образом приток туристов в здешние места. Турнов — традиционный центр обработки граната и производства изделий из стекла. В городе находится крупный краеведческий музей (победитель в конкурсе среди музеев Европы), 3 галереи, 6 церквей и одна синагога. Небольшой старый город, построенный в духе готического урбанизма, соседствует с живописными зелёными окрестностями и крупными парками, образуя тем самым гармонию между городом и природой. Сам регион достаточно хорошо известен, благодаря расположенным в нём многочисленным замкам, дворцам, а также превосходной сельской архитектурой. Город является важным транспортным железнодорожным и автомобильным узлом.
